General Information
Terms and hours
The terms coincide with those of the government schools. School hours are from 8.00 am to 12.00 noon Mondays to Fridays. There will be a teacher to receive children from 7.30 am every morning. Parents are requested to note that the child must be handed over to the teacher. Children may not be dropped in the car park.
Punctuality is also requested, particularly when fetching your child at the end of the day. Children feel insecure when left at school long after their peers have gone home.
Requisites
Each child must bring :
- A So-High school bag, available from the secretary.
- A change of clothing.
- A drawstring library bag - 40cm x 35cm marked with your child's name.
- A small photograph of your child for the birthday charts.
Morning Snack
A healthy morning snack consisting of a sandwich, juice and a piece of fruit. No sweets, biscuits, chips, cake or fizzy drinks will be allowed. All lunch boxes and juice bottles must be marked with your child's name.
Clothing
Clothing must be simple and suitable for all round play activities. Fastenings and buttons should be sensible and easily accessible in order that the child may achieve independence. All shoes and clothing must be clearly marked with your child's name.
Illness
In the interest of health children suffering from coughs, colds or infectious diseases must remain at home until they are completely well. Please notify the school in the event of infectious diseases or if something serious occurs.
Toys
Sweets including gum, toys and jewellery are not to be brought to school. We cannot be held responsible for valuables.
Communication
Every child has a message book, please use it to communicate with the teacher. Newsletters and other messages from the school will be found in your child's book.
Lifts
If there are any alterations in the arrangements of your lift scheme please contact the relevant parent and notify us via the notebook. The school is unable to accept responsibility for transport of pupils to and from school.
Parking
To avoid congestion in the parking lot, please adhere to the plan you will be provided with early in the year.
Other
Your children are very special. It is important to ensure that their environment is happy and secure. A home from home, which is conducive to learning about the world around them as well as being able to facilitate positive social interaction.
Our staff have your child's best interest at heart and are always available to deal with any concerns you may have.
